Société des Automobiles Alpine SASU or more simply Alpine (or also Alpine-Renault) is a French automobile manufacturer, specialized in the construction of sports cars, founded in 1955 in Dieppe by Jean Rédélé and part of the Renault group since 1973.
Car production ended in 1995, but 17 years after the closure, Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Renault, announced on November 5, 2012 the rebirth of the Alpine brand.
