Bentley is a historic British automobile company of prestige cars founded in 1919 by Walter Owen Bentley in Cricklewood, near London, winner of various editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930 and 2003.
After an initial period of independence and success, Bentley was subsequently bought by Rolls-Royce, which unwillingly made it a sort of sub-brand for almost seventy years. Since 1998 it has been part of the Volkswagen Group, whose new commercial strategies have led to a rebirth of the brand.
