Ducati DM 350 S (With the "S") Associated models: The "S" stands for Scrambler. This approval designation (e.g., DM 350 S) was printed on the frame and in the registration document exclusively for the Ducati 350 Scrambler.
Chassis: Configuration suitable for light off-road riding. The registration document specifies a 19-inch front wheel (3.50 x 19") and an 18-inch rear wheel (4.00 x 18") to better overcome rough terrain.
Races: The engine is mated to a gearbox with shorter internal ratios and a spacing designed for traction on dirt tracks.

Model history and curiosity

The 1974 Ducati 350 Desmo is a true icon of style and engineering, a symbol of an era when motorcycling passion was expressed through the purity of a single-cylinder engine.

What made it special wasn't just its design—sleek and elegant, like every Italian creation of the time—but above all its desmodromic system. At a time when other motorcycles used traditional springs, Ducati mastered the valve timing mechanically: a touch of technical refinement that allowed the engine to rev high with surgical precision.

On the road, it was a blade. Weighing in at around 128 kg, it was incredibly agile and responsive. The addition of the front disc brake in those years finally made it a complete motorcycle, capable of combining engine revs with the necessary verve in corners.

Today, it's beloved by collectors not only for its rarity, but also for the "analog" feel it provides: lively vibrations, a full sound, and a ride that requires no electronics, just feel and control. It is, in short, the beauty of mechanical minimalism applied to a motorcycle that seems designed to glide across the asphalt.
