Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6 RS Tommi Makinen Limited Edition, chassis number 38 of 112 built for the European market, the RS was born in white with left-hand drive.
The car in question has original Italian license plates and has only two owners who have carefully guarded it. Official Mitsubishi invoices for service and wear parts replacement are present, all recorded on letterhead. This car has never raced, competed in a track, or participated in a rally.
The car has only 106,000 certified kilometers.
The bodywork is perfectly preserved.
The original front seats have been replaced with racing-type ones, the HKS air filter has been replaced, and a waste gate has been added. All original components are available.

Model history and curiosity

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, also known as the Lancer Evo or simply the Evo, is the sports version of the Mitsubishi Lancer produced from 1992 to 2016 by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. Ten versions were produced, and the numerical designation is a Roman numeral. The Evolution models up to the V formed the basis of the rally car with which Mitsubishi competed in Group A of the World Rally Championship, winning four times from 1996 to 1999. To comply with the regulations at the time, the rally version prepared by Ralliart was based on the road car, although in reality the body was the only thing they had in common.

In the Evo VI, the major changes were made to engine cooling and longevity. It received a larger intercooler, a larger oil cooler, and new pistons. In the RS, for the first time in a mass-produced car, the turbocharger was made of a titanium-aluminum alloy. The exterior aesthetics were also slightly modified: the large fog lights of the Evo V were reduced in size and moved further outboard to increase the intercooler intake. The two existing ones were joined by a new model, the RS2, which was essentially an RS with some of the GSR's optional extras. Several limited editions accompanied the Evo VI: the RS Sprint, which was powered by Ralliart for the British market and featured lighter weight and increased power (increased from 280 to 330 hp), and the well-known Lancer Evo VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition (T.M.E.), which was built in 1999 in honor of Finnish driver Tommi Mäkinen and to celebrate his fourth consecutive rally driver's title. It featured a different front bumper, black and red Recaro seats with the Tommi Makinen logo embossed on them, dedicated 17" white Enkei wheels, a leather Momo steering wheel, and a titanium turbocharger that allowed for faster revving. The suspension settings and materials were also different; they were called "Tarmac." The differential unit was also different, more similar to those on the Evo 7. The color was red with different liveries on the side, but the Evo 6 T.M.E. was also available in other colors such as black or gray. Due to the different technical specifications, this Evo was also called the Evo 6.5. Also available in an RS version only in Scothia White, W83 featured a different sheet metal thickness, a different interior trim such as less supportive Recaro seats, no air bags or climate control, a dedicated steering wheel, no central locking, and exterior door handles made of plastic that did not match the body color, thus reducing its overall weight. responding to the advertising flyer's motto 'minimum frills maximum thrills'. Imported into Europe in a limited number of examples, it is now a sought-after object among collectors.
