Model history and curiosity
The Honda S800 is a passenger car produced by the Japanese car manufacturer Honda from 1966 to 1970.
Presented at the 1965 Tokyo Motor Show, the S800 replaced the Honda S600, positioning itself in the segment occupied at the time by the Austin-Healey Sprite, MG Midget, Triumph Spitfire and Fiat 850 Spider.
Built at the Suzuka plant in Japan, it was initially available as a convertible and then as a coupe. The engine was a 791 cc in-line 4-cylinder supported by a 4-speed manual; the configuration was the same as the S600, with a front-longitudinal engine and rear-wheel drive.
