We are offering a rare 1933 Morris Cowley 1500 2-seater tourer, currently registered in Italy (with Rome license plates issued in 1980). The vehicle has been fully restored, including its bodywork, upholstery, and mechanical components.
It is an excellent choice for anyone looking to begin participating in classic regularity rallies, thanks to its low coefficient. The car currently holds ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) certification.

Model history and curiosity

On August 29, 1931, a thoroughly revamped version of the Cowley was announced.

In line with the rest of the Morris range, the bodywork of the six models that made up the Cowley line was redesigned for a more pleasing appearance: the closed versions featured a modern front roof profile, engineered to reduce turbulence; the fuel tank was relocated to the rear of the chassis; all exterior trim was finished in chrome; and "Magna"-style wire wheels became standard equipment.

The new chassis allowed for a lower body, while the suspension was made longer and more supple. The braking system, supplied by Lockheed, was upgraded with larger drums and hydraulic actuation. A new radiator was introduced—proportioned to match the wire wheels with their large hubs—and the engine connecting rods were crafted from duralumin. The range was expanded to include a "sports coupé" variant and a "2+2 tourer."

Buyers could choose between a 1500cc or a 1800cc engine, both offered at the same price. The four-seater "tourer" versions were discontinued.
