Suzuki GSXR 1300 Hayabusa - 1999
€ 8.500
Financing optionsDescription
Suzuki GSXR 1300 nicknamed Hayabusa. It went down in history as the fastest motorcycle in the world in the 90s and 2000s.
We offer this first series in impeccable condition with very few kilometers traveled only 18,000. Booklet and plates of first Italian registration dated 1999.
The very attractive price is due to the fact that the motorcycle unfortunately remained unused for about 10 years. It therefore requires a complete service and tire replacement. Always kept obsessively by the previous owners.
Model history and curiosity
The Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa (often referred to as the GSX-R 1300 Hayabusa or simply Hayabusa) is a super-sport tourer motorcycle introduced by the Suzuki motorcycle manufacturer in 1999. In 2021, Suzuki presents a new Euro5 approved version with a 1,340 cc 190 hp engine and a self-limited top speed of 299 km/h, sold in Italy at €19,390.
The motorcycle takes its name from the peregrine falcon, the fastest bird in the world, capable of reaching 385 km/h in a dive.[2] This comparison is very appropriate, given that since its debut, the Hayabusa has been considered the fastest motorcycle in the world, with a top speed of 312 km/h.
This speed soon became a source of debate, so much so that a ban on the vehicle in Europe was hypothesized; the issue was resolved in 2000 with a gentlemen's agreement between the four main Japanese manufacturers (Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha), which set the top speed of their top models at 299 km/h through the use of an electronic limiter. For this reason, the first series Hayabusa is the only one equipped with a speedometer with a full scale set at 350 km/h (340 plus one notch), while in the subsequent ones it is at 300 km/h (280 plus two notches).
