This Italian-built car has undergone a comprehensive restoration by a leading expert in the field and the Cosworth brand. Full photos of the restoration are available. The car was stripped to its bare body, restored, and repainted. The entire electrical system, interior, and mechanicals were dismantled.

The engine, gearbox, and differential, as well as the braking and suspension systems, were completely overhauled.

The car comes with the original headlights and 5 perfectly preserved rims with tires included in the price.

Model history and curiosity

The Ford Escort RS Cosworth, also known as the "Super Escort," is a sports version of the Ford Escort. Production of 7,145 units was produced from February 1992 to January 1996. It also competed in the World Rally Championship (WRC) in Group A configuration from 1993 to 1996, winning eight races and taking four podium finishes in the manufacturers' championship.

The history of the Escort Cosworth began when Ford decided to install a turbocharged engine in the Ford Sierra Cosworth.

In the first half of 1992, production of the Ford Escort RS Cosworth officially began, commissioned by the American manufacturer from the German body shop Karmann at its Rheine plant.

The Cosworth shared very little with the other "Escorts", the entire mechanics came from the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, on whose shortened wheelbase platform was mounted a body (designed by Ian Callum) derived from that of the contemporary standard Escort Mk V but highly elaborated with flared fenders, side skirts, air intakes on the bonnet, double rear wing called "duck" with a biplane configuration, designed and drawn by Frank Stephenson.
