Coming from a private collection, we offer this beautiful Renault Alpine A110 1600S (1600 VB), a true rally legend.

Vehicle registered for the first time in Italy on November 29, 1971 with AT plates.

Rare, completely original example
the one we present is a road-going Alpine A 110 1600 S, authentic in every way and with an interesting past behind it.
The Alpine was registered in Italy on November 29, 1971 (with AT plate 103286) by a doctor from Cassinasco, in the province of Asti.
In May 1975 it passed to a very young Marcello Pochettino, future CEO of Maserati, and took the TO N37501 plate. Pochettino used it for just one race in Group N.
In 1978, another well-known figure from Turin, Giuseppe Nasini Tesino, bought it and kept it for 27 years.
In 2006, an entrepreneur from Cuneo decided to buy it and, eight years later, in 2014, entrusted it to Goding Sporting Cars (UK) with a sales mandate.
In October of the same year, the car returned to Italy but its general condition warranted a complete restoration.

Four years for a philologically correct restoration:

Then a complete restoration began. The work on the mechanics, chassis and bodywork (with paint stripping and repainting in the right blue) lasted four years and was carried out by a well-known Renault and Alpine specialist from Milan. The restoration project was supported by the invaluable assistance of the experts from the Alpine Renault Italia Club.

The mechanical elements were and have remained the original ones, in particular the "big gearbox" racing type 364, the seats and the two Weber 45 DCOE.

For the rest, over 60 parts were purchased in France necessary for a correct restoration, starting with the gaskets, all replaced. Even the rear roll bar, which the current owner added to give greater rigidity to the chassis, dates back to the 70s.

Fun, reliable and perfect for a high-level collection

The test drive of the Alpine in question was published in Ruoteclassiche in February 2020.
Available: a large photo book, which includes the phases of the restoration and all the identification codes of the bodywork, gearbox, brakes, engine etc... a dossier containing the invoices for the work and spare parts.
