Model history and curiosity

The second generation of Toyota Celica, presented in 1990 and known as Celica Turbo 4WD Carlos Sainz Limited Edition, born to participate in the World Rally winning 5 world titles from 1992 to 1994.
5,000 units were built and only 400 units were destined for the Italian market, this version is equipped with a 2nd generation 3S-GTE engine that has been strengthened compared to the previous one, with an increase in turbocharger pressure to 0.95 bar and a high speed intercooler. air/water, in addition to this, it had a gearbox with shorter ratios, an additional synchronizer for first and second gear and a Torsen-type self-locking rear differential.
