As a concours d'elegance we offer the Lancia Aurelia B20 series 3.
The car was purchased in 2006 in Imperia in conditions of necessary restoration. An integral restoration that lasted many years from 2006 to 2014 was carried out by a well-known restorer from Pesaro. Unfortunately, few photographs of the restoration are available as many have been lost. On the other hand, many invoices for spare parts and works performed are available. The car has CRS ASI for registration request.
Model history and curiosity
The Aurelia B20 appears to have been classified "by series" only in the two first editions with a 2-litre engine, while the production of the "2 and a half litres" which began in 1953 appears to have never been officially classified by "series" nor in any measurement identified with that definition: remember only that the 1954-55 version was defined as "leaf spring" due to the new De Dion rear suspension (with leaf springs instead of springs) but the division "into successive series" came into use common, when the car was now out of production, for reasons of greater immediacy, since the official data of the company have always referred exclusively to the progressive numbering of the chassis reached at the time of the modifications made to the model, thus not allowing the necessary immediate understanding .
Below is the list of the six series with the most significant distinctive parameters.
-First Series: (from B20-1001 to B20-1500) produced from April 1951 to February 1952, 2 liters, 75 HP, tail without "tails", bumper with overriders.
-Second Series: (from B20-1501 to B20-2231) produced from March 1952 to February 1953, 2 liters, 80 HP, rear "tails", bumpers without overriders. This version was identified as "second series" even in the 1950s.
-Third Series: (from B20-2232 to B20-2951) produced from March 1953 to December 1953, 2.5 liters, 118 HP, more rounded "tail" and without tails, front lights without "eyelids".
-Fourth Series: (B20-2952 to B20-3696 and B20S-1001 to B20S-1255) produced from early 1954 to December 1955, 2.5 liters, 118 HP, De Dion rear axle, green polarized glass, steering wheel two spokes (black). This series was commonly defined as "crossbow".
-Fifth Series: (from B20-3697 to B20-3816 and from B20S-1256 to B20S-1435) produced from 1956 (forwarded) to March 1957, 2.5 liters, 110 HP (detuned), new gearbox, enlarged rear window, addition of chrome profiles, three-spoke steering wheel (in aluminum and wooden crown), more refined finishes.
-Sixth Series: (from B20-3817 to B20-4011 and from B20S-1436 to B20S-1860) produced from April 1957 to November 1958, 2.5 liters, 112 HP, countless but small mechanical modifications, deflectors on the doors.
