A piece of history for sale, dedicated to enthusiasts and collectors. Now available for sale at our showroom, we offer a car with a fascinating history.

Although not listed in the documentation, this 1954 Bentley Type R was owned by the famous actor Vittorio de Sica. The car was actually purchased in September 1971 and registered in the name of his wife, Maria Mercader Forcada (mother of Cristian De Sica, of whom extensive documentation is available online).
The car was then sold in June 1973 and sold again in Brescia in 1989, where the same family owned it for 37 years.

From September 16, 2017, until January 2021, the car was permanently exhibited at the Vittoriale degli Italiani, at the "L'Automobile è Femmina" museum (photographs of which are available online).

In 2026, after years of long storage and little use, it was decided to carry out a general mechanical overhaul.

Model history and curiosity

The Bentley R-Type is one of the most prestigious classic cars of the British brand, produced between 1952 and 1955. It represents the second series of post-war Bentley cars and replaced the Mark VI model.
