The Falcon Shells MKII was purchased in 2013 in France and subsequently imported and registered in Italy.
The car came from England and the previous plates were OFF803 then SWD466. Built in 1955, it features a Ford Popular side valve engine and an aluminum and fiberglass body built on commission in 1957 by Falcon Shells.
Fully restored between 2013-2014. In 2016, the original Ford 1172 side valve engine and 45hp Aquaplane cylinder head and the 3-speed gearbox were replaced with a new more reliable engine derived from Ford Anglia / Cortina with a displacement 1200cc with 75hp power. Also mounted stainless steel exhaust and Weber carburetor with dedicated manifold. Rear brakes derived from Anglia. Rear axle and TR3 derivation wheels.
All original parts such as Aquaplane head engine, three-speed gearbox, rear axle and original brakes are all available and are supplied at the time of sale.
The car was published on Ruoteclassiche and Automobilismo vintage. The car is ASI gold approved.
